Hello everyone!
Here is the eighth SLF 3D devlog—although technically, it’s the first one since the project changed direction.
I’m still relatively new to real-time 3D development, so I’m moving forward step by step: experimenting with different systems while gradually building the game’s world.
Right now, I’m putting the finishing touches on the main house, which will contain quite a few surprises. I’m also testing the systems that control the characters and their daily routines.
As you can see in the image, taken directly from the Unity editor, Mimi is heading into the garden for her yoga session. Just before that, she changed clothes in her bedroom. The goal is for characters to follow natural routines and make the house feel truly alive.
I’ve already implemented a clothing system that allows every character to have several different outfits. Clothes are also divided into categories, meaning individual pieces can be changed or removed separately depending on the situation.
Development is progressing steadily, with a strong focus on optimization so that as many different PC configurations as possible will be able to enjoy the game.
There’s still a lot of work ahead, but the foundations are taking shape. More progress soon! ❤️
